About us

Accounts shouldn't be a monthly reconstruction

HisabNest — hisab, the account; the nest, where it is kept safe — exists because most Indian businesses were rebuilding their books from receipts every quarter instead of simply having them.

The problem

Three systems, one business

Counter staff billed in one app. Stock lived in a spreadsheet that was accurate on the day it was made. The accounts caught up at the CA's office a quarter later, and nothing ever quite tied out.

The decision

Build the ledger first

Instead of starting with invoice templates, we started with a double-entry engine and made billing, stock and payroll post into it. Harder to build, far harder to drift.

Today

Fourteen modules, one workspace

From POS and multi-warehouse stock to GSTR-2B reconciliation, payroll and depreciation runs — with WhatsApp invoice delivery through your own business number.

Four decisions we won't reverse

Every product has principles it will trade away under pressure. These are the ones we won't.

One transaction, one truth

A sale is not three records in three systems. It is one event that moves stock, posts a journal and updates a party balance together — or does none of it. Everything else in HisabNest follows from that rule.

Indian-first, not localised later

Place of supply, HSN, reverse charge, TCS under 206C(1H), e-way bill fields and Section 192 slabs were in the first build, not retrofitted onto a template designed for somewhere else.

Your data, demonstrably

Each company gets its own isolated database. Every document carries an audit trail. A full JSON export is one click away on every plan, including the trial. Leaving should be as easy as joining.

Priced like software, not a toll booth

Per-invoice pricing punishes you for growing. We charge a flat subscription and keep the invoice counter out of the billing logic entirely.

The general ledger behind every invoice. Nothing here is typed twice — each line arrived from a sale, a purchase, a payment, a payroll run or a depreciation schedule.
